چکیده
We study the isotropization and thermalization of heavy quarks in a non-Markovian medium high-energy nuclear collisions. In particular, we analyze case nonstationary with noise whose time correlator decays as power law (heavy-tailed noise). assume correlations decay an exponent $\ensuremath{\beta}\ensuremath{-}1$, $0\ensuremath{\le}\ensuremath{\beta}<1$; treat $\ensuremath{\beta}$ free parameter. effect memory on via generalized Langevin equation. general, find that slows down dynamics quarks; moreover, happen same timescale once realistic initialization is considered. also that, while charm can be relevant, beauty are hardly affected by quark-gluon plasma phase. Finally, comment estimate ${D}_{s}$ beauty.

Isotropization and Thermalization in Heavy Ion Collisions
We argue that isotropization and, consequently, thermalization of the system of gluons and quarks produced in an ultrarelativistic heavy ion collision does not follow from Feynman diagram analysis to any order in the coupling constant. We conclude that the apparent thermalization of quarks and gluons, leading to success of perfect fluid hydrodynamics in describing heavy ion collisions at RHIC, ...

Recent experimental results on the transverse-momentum spectra (pT spectra) and the elliptic flow, v2, of non-photonic single electrons [K +04, L+04], whose main source at pT & 2GeV/c is the semileptonic decay of open-charm (and bottom) mesons, indicate that D mesons may have about the same v2 as light mesons. Calculations within a quark-coalescence model [GKR04] show that this can be explained...

The strong interaction between heavy quarks and the quark gluon plasma makes the open and hidden charm hadrons be sensitive probes of the deconfinement phase transition in high energy nuclear collisions. Both the cold and hot nuclear matter effects change with the colliding energy and significantly influence the heavy quark and charmonium yield and their transverse momentum distributions. The r...

We estimate freezeout conditions for s, c, and b quarks in high energy nuclear collisions. Freezeout is due either to loss of thermal contact, or to particles “wandering” out of the region of hot matter. We then develop a thermal recombination model in which both single-particle (quark and antiquark) and two-particle (quark-antiquark) densities are conserved. Conservation of twoparticle densiti...
